Forgive me if I am overlooking something but, what are the two sites joining forces to actually do?
Has there been a form of activism actually proposed?

joint letters and/or statements for one;

instead of just sending an email with just "Spectrumites", both sites send an email plus another one co-authored by members from the sites, signed by "AFF and the Spectrumites", (or by " The Spectrumites and AFF" if you prefer )

I think the important thing to do is to get letters to the appropriate people and let them know many autistic people do not agree with Autism Speaks. We do not want this video to represent autistic people. That should be our goal whether we are spectrumites, AFF or both. Focus!

Tithen, I loved your introduction, and agree with Tigger. Grassroot activism is very important.
