I have had invisible hands clap next to my ears before. That was freaky, I was at work and it was like 3 in the morning, and all the sudden it was like a super loud CLAP!!! I ran as far away as I could!! lol. That's the only thing in my experience. I am interested in that stuff, but I have to be in the 'mood' per se. I can get overly stimulated and find I cannot sleep. I was TOTALLY into wicca ways for a while. That was a fun obsession for awhile. Wouldn't mind doing that again, the thought of attempting to do spells fascinates me regardless if it's real or not.
I love to watch Buffy and Angel and shows like that where anything is possible. BUT I can't watch those shows where they go into 'haunted' places in the dark. That freaks me out.

I am quite interested in some of that, though a lot of those TV shows and stuff include stuff that's obviously a misidentification or hoax, and a lot of cheesiness that I don't particularly care for.

About two years ago, I was sitting at a computer writing an essay for my AP European History, and I was kind of bored, didn't know what to put. I heard a loud popping noise and swung my head around, and the lampshade, which was several feet behind me, was swinging wildly. I figured a rat or other animal had got in the house (we don't have a cat, and our dog was nowhere near this) and knocked it over.

So the shade calmed down to a still, and I couldn't get my eyes off it; I was checking around, to see if I could see or hear anything move, and I called to my parents to go to the room. As I was looking at it, the shade jumped straight up a few inches above the light bulb, and my parents were rushing in, and the shade was swinging, the light bulb no longer covered. I don't know enough about light bulbs or electricity to rule out a known electrical phenomenon, but whatever it was it was cool, and certainly got rid of my boredom!

At my parents house several years ago, my mom and I were making dinner, and I hear this tiny creepy little laugh going from one side of the kitchen and out the window. I figured I was imagining things, but my mom asked if I heard it too - so apparently we both heard it.

I like the idea that a lot of stuff dubbed as 'poltergeist activity' is stuff from living people's minds, such as when they're stressed or bored.

Years ago I lived in a house that was over 100 years old. I was reading the newspaper. Some of the paper was folded on my lap. I felt a pressure on my leg like someone was pushing down on it. I lifted the paper and saw five red spots like finger and thump imprints. It was as if someone had laid their hand there. The pressure then became more like a squeeze or pinch. As soon as I said to my sister "look at my leg", the spots vanished, along with the pressure.

I have no idea what it was. But I will never forget it. It was a strange place to live. You could never hear someone knocking at the door. But at times I would hear "go answer". I would know someone was there.

My parents' house is haunted. It's another one the better part of 100 years old, formerly the homestead on a dairy farm that's been shifted, lowered (it used to be high-set, now it's only a foot off the ground) and is now on a normal backyard-sized block of land that was split off from the farm and sold. We don't know what sort of ghost it is, and Mum, who's really very sensitive, is the only one who's seen it. She calls it "Mrs Reid" just because the original property owners were the Reids.

I've never seen or felt the ghost. I, probably irrationally, blame the Aspergers for that - I can't even pick up on living people around me properly, what hope do I have with ghosties and goullies??

I'm quite certain I 'met' some sort of otherworldy being once, though, possibly even a Goddess. (I'm a pagan, for the record)
